Sophie held a birthday (6yrs or under) here for 150 guests, spending around £1000. They felt that they received good value for money.

Sophie left a written comment: "The venue decor is lovely and the views stunning but if you're thinking of having catering, I would possibly reconsider as it is very expensive and they are VERY rigid with the menu. We had a meal before hand which was lovely but a hassle as not only did we have to narrow down to three choices for starter, main and dessert we then had to make all our party pick what they wanted weeks in advance. There were 16 in our party and we only had 1 vegetarian but still had to add this as one of our three choices. Also one of guests could not attend due to being rushed into hospital and not at any point were we offered to use that money for drinks or offered a refund or condolences. We had people come to the party from all over the country and we thought having 20 rooms this would be more than adequate. However even though we booked in April we were only told 2 months later that all the rooms had been previously booked for that night and we could change the event night to a month later but we had already sent out 200 invitations by then and paid a £100 non refundable deposit. I would definitely get prices that are discussed written down and signed as they are changed willy nilly as the event manager sees fit stating that she had never said that price. We were also told that if we didn't like the way they did things they had a list of people waiting for the event room on a Saturday and would easily be replaced (had paid £500 by this point). In the end the night did go well and we had fun but in the run up it was very stressful mostly due to the venue. We did consider this venue for our wedding but after all the hassle we decided against it and to be honest if you are considering having your wedding here I would think it through very carefully as I think there are better place for the money nearby."
