Venue reviews provided by our DJs help people like yourself decide whether a potential wedding venue will be suitable for your needs and requirements. They can also help other mobile DJs, entertainers and event suppliers prepare to work in your venue for the first time.
Where do I start? Described by two people as the car park from Hell! Suffice to say it's tiny, crowded, and a lottery.
Good. Half a dozen steps straight into the room. Then across the room to the stage.
Corner stage, reasonable headroom, adequate space, but no power points there. Long extension needed to get power onto stage.
Pleasant enough.
Huge overflow car park if space is limited near the clubhouse.
Could be better. Either two sets of doors and a corridor through the bar area, or round the side down a ramp. Caution: The ramp is steep, so trolleys could be a problem. Full size Transit vans don't fit down this ramp unless mirrors folded and guided in by a colleague. Smaller ones are fine, which gets yo near the fire doors, and up a few steps.
Room for a disco and five piece band if you're careful.
Absolutely fist class. Couldn't be more helpful.
Interesting. Not a huge car park, and it's shared with other businesses, so can be hard to find a space. If you turn up when a dance class is on, it;s doubly difficult. Do not approach from Holderness Rd, as you'll be snookered by the one way street. Approach from Hedon Rd, and turn into Williamson St. Car Park is signed on right.
Good. Use fire exit in Car Park, along a long corridor, and into function room. Trolley essential.
There is a superb stage, with full width steps, and an illuminated backdrop. If the top table of the wedding is up there, you will be at the far side of the room instead, on the floor.
Absolutely superb. Pleasant, helpful, and good to deal with.
Good. Car park is divided up into sections, and is a little cramped.
Very good. You can park right in front of access doors, and it's all easy into main hall. It's a good walk, and can tolerate fairly large rigs, so a good trolley is advisable.
Complete end wall, acres of space. No stage
Absolutely first class.
Plenty of car parking round about, but limited parking outside front doors for unloading.
Good. All flat and level. Better access is gained by using fire doors round the sides of the building.
There is a tall stage with steps, very wide. If the projector screen is in use this takes up nearly all of the stage, restricting you to the floor, and that's restricted in places by fire doors. The room can be laid out in so many ways that there will be room somewhere.
No issues
Reasonable car park. The Village Hall is next to the car park, but the Sports Association is behind this, and it\'s a long walk.
Long walk. Trolley, and/or roadie advisable. Concrete path though, fairly well lit.
Cramped. Don\'t take too much kit, it\'s a small venue, lacking in space. The pool table doesn\'t help in this respect, unless you want to work on it.
Perfectly fine.
Large car park, limited parking near to doors.
Its a long walk. Entrance doors lead into a small porch/lobby, second set of doors into a long corridor, and third set get you to the entrance doors to the room. From there, its no distance to the stage. Altenatively, you can get into the room at the far end, away from the stage, and walk down the room.
Large low temporary stage, multi segment. Plenty of sockets behind, had a few tables on when I visited. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: over 4m
Very friendly.
Good. Plenty of spaces all around the venue.
Good. Park near rear of venue to unload, and bring gear in through the corridors. Doors can be propped open, wedges thoughtfully provided.
Alcove along one wall. Not huge, but room is small, so minimal rig advised.
Best staff I have ever met, bar none.
Painful. Getting a Transit in is very difficult, the car park entrance is usually obstructed by parked cars on the street.
Poor. Enter through the bar, very narrow, very awkward.
Stage in the room, not very deep.
Absolutely fine.
Very awkward. Narrow gates, and only a handful if spaces. Large vans almost impossible if cars are parked on the street opposite.
Poor. From the car park, it's through the bar, or carry kit along the pavement. Parking outside the entrance blocks the road totally. Tiny rigs or roadies advised.
Shallow stage with steps, or on floor. Many options.
Superb.
You can park at the side to load and unload, but you'll have to move after. There is on street parking nearby, but it's restricted until 6pm, after which time it's free.
Long concrete ramp up to fire exit, very smooth, not too steep.
Immense high stage, which doesn't appear to have good access. I was instructed to use the floor near the fire exit. Warning: They're very fussy about the new floor, and will insist on all kit having rubber feet or other protection.
Let's just say I've met more pleasant and helpful staff.
Excellent car park.
One door, one flight of stairs with quarter turns. Not terribly easy.
Small stage at one end. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful.
Lane outside venue, two vehicles wide. Unload vehicle, and then move it to designated parking areas.
Good. Straight through doors into venue.
Small, low corner stage. Small rigs essential.
Helpful and pleasant.
Narrow. Can be congested. Possible to get near access fire doors, but not stay there after unloading.
Fair. Slalom round two doors, then easy run to stage.
Huge 5ft high stage, power everywhere, but access steps narrow and awkward.
Reasonably sized car park at front, theres an access road at the side leading straight to the fire doors for the function room.
Brilliant. Straight through fire doors, and up to the stage.
Superb stage, all necessary venue light switches next to the stage. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Absolutely brilliant. Understand what DJs and acts need, and its all there for you.
Very good. Large car park.
Very good. Five steps up to room, you can park your vehicle next to them. Short walk to stage.
Good sized stage, some installed equipment sharing it. Plenty of power sockets, but whole area quite tired.
Very pleasant.
Excellent. Can park a few steps from the entrance to the lift.
There is a lift for the gear, and its best to walk up the stairs to meet it, as its easier to shut the doors from outside. Lift is small, so a 4ft deckstand wont go in ready asembled.
Usually near the kitchen entrance. Not overly generous. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 3-4m
Lovely.
Long carry usually involved for this, across the grass.
Good access, just a fair distance.
Dependent on the type of marquee hired. Usually perfectly adequate. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Lovely.
Adequate. Venue is at the end of a lane partly shared with the local Primary School. Addresses for the venue show more than one road name and postcode. Find the Primary School, and youre there.
Excellent, when you know how. Its a difficult and awkward walk along the front of the building to the front door, especially when its wet. However, theres a door at the corner of the building, its a fire exit. Access through there is excellent, straight into the function room.
Cramped. Only space not taken with seating is in front of the dartboard. Low ceiling as well. Small rigs essential. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Excellent, helpful and friendly.
Space for a vehicle next to access doors of conservatory. Huge car park adjacent to venue.
Good. Through conservatory, two sets of doors which can be propped open. All dead flat and smooth, so small trolley friendly.
Rear wall of venue. Plenty of room for the rig, venue not immense.
Excellent. Lovely tarmac car park, first class.
Excellent. If you park temporarily in the disabled bays, it's a very short walk into the venue, all hard standing, with some cover.
Corner of room near power sockets. As good as most of this kind.
Absolutely first class, lovely people who understand the job completely. A pleasure to work with.
Reasonably big car park, with good access from the road.
A good trolley is essential. It's twenty yards through the beer garden to the front doors, then probably a hundred yards along corridors to the stage.
Low stage with steps at one side, lots of power points at the back, but headroom is limited on the stage.
Very very pleasant and helpful.
Pretty good. Churchill suite has a dedicated car park which isn't huge.
Fabulous. Park next to the fire exit, and the performance area is straight through the door.
You have an entire back wall to choose from, with no obstacles on the floor. Large paintings on the wall behind.
Absolutely splendid, pleasant and helpful. Manager is very easy to deal with.
Reasonable car park at front, best access if conditions allow is over grass at the back.
From front, a reasonable walk on the level. From rear, directly through fire door.
No specific area. Small room in new building. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Fine.
Vast car park. Club is at one corner.
Fair. Need a trolley for easiness.
Usually to one side of the bar. It\'s a smallish room, no need for huge rigs.
Very pleasant and helpful
Good sized car park. I was allowed to park right outside the doors. There is another entrance signed as main entrance, but I didnt use that, although it was available.
From the doors I used, there was an excellent ramp, and then a level twenty or thirty metre walk to the setup area. A trolley is essential, in my opinion.
Not a lot of room available, unless you start moving furniture. Power sockets in floor for disco, perfect. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Absolutely superb. Very very helpful.
Interesting. Lucky dip, really. Park in the green spaces, which are free for the club. Otherwise, you'll have to pay. It's a huge municipal car park, but getting near the access point is pot luck. You may easily have to tip the vehicle, then move it.
Good. Very level, only one self closing door into the room. Very trolley friendly.
In front of a sliding door to a storage area. Big enough for a four foot booth, and floor standing speakers. Tripods could be interesting to work with.
No.
Acres of space, perfect. You can drive the van to the doors virtually.
Truly excellent. Very shallow ramp, wide doors which can be wedged open.
No designated area, just section of wall opposite bar.
Excellent. Large car park, shared with Rugby Club.
Very good. Ramp into building, can park close to it.
No dedicated area, just set up where advised.
Very helpful.
Good. Large car park, and you may be able to park near the entrance.
Fair. Straight into lift, which brings you straight to the dood of the function room. Short walk fro there.
Low stage, excellent. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
No issues
Huge tarmac car park, undulating somewhat. Quite a slope away from building.
Excellent. No steps, only very shallow ramps, excellent for wheeled flightcases.
Smallish stage, big enough for a 4foot booth plus speakers. Not very deep, and low ceilings mean lights can't be very high on stage.
Adequate. Small tarmac car park at front of venue.
Very good. Choice of ramp or steps to two sets of doors which can be locked open. From there, it's a few yards to the stage.
Nice stage, only drawback is the overhead at the front of the stage is low.
Absolutely excellent, lovely helpful people.
No dedicated car park, limited on street parking. Large car parks nearby, so no problem.
Very good. Park in front of the building, through the automatic doors, and straight into the room.
Low stage, plentiful power, lowish ceiling. Plenty of space for kit.
Staff not present.
Pretty good. Car park is a touch narrow , but workable enough. Best access for unloading is disabled bays, then move your vehicle.
Good. Ramp into venue, through two sets of self closing doors, across to low stage. Huge rigs not advisable, room and stage aren't huge. Entrance door may have the electronic lock on, so you may have to be let back in if you let it close. Staff can disable it, so not an issue.
Low corner stage. Steps come up in the middle, so rig placement needs thought.
Excellent, very pleasant and helpful.
Limited, use disabled spaces to unload vehicle, and move afterwards.
Poor. Steep, narrow internal staircase. Congested by guests on leaving.
Corner of room. Small rigs recommended, as space is limited.
Fine, but not overly knowledgeable.
Very small car park at rear, quite tricky
Poor. Stairs or wheelchair lift down, then corridor to room.
No specific area. Many options depending on layout. Very low ceilings.
Helpful and pleasant staff.
Adequate car park, can be crowded if a match is on.
Very good. Through main door, and no further doors to setup area. All level.
Corner of room near cupboard containing venue system. Not a huge room, so smallish rigs advised.
Absolutely excellent
Busy car park. You have yo park in the presidents space to unload, or just pull across as best you can.
Long walk!! Trolleys or Sherpas needed. Over sixty yards to the performance area.
Corner of the room, low ceiling. All carpeted, so no designated area. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Lovely. Very helpful.
For the Ocean Suite, use the overflow car park, which is very large and underused. It is however a sixty yard walk to the access point for the room. If possible, unload in the swimming pool members bays, and move afterwards.
All flat, hard well drained path which goes all round the building. A torch and a good trolley are essential, because it's a long way, and a small section of path is unlit.
No dedicated area, room is multi sided, so there are many choices.
Function manager was absolutely fine, very pleasant and very good to deal with. Efficient and helpful.
Car park quite small. Pay and display, unless youre staying at the hotel.
Only poor. Two sets of steps, one fire door, and two internal doors.
Theres a stage, but I was set up at the side on the floor. No problems. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
Excellent.
Park near the bistro entrance, not the garden centre.
It's a long distance to the performance area, so trolley and preferably some help is vital. It's all firm and flat, fortunately.
Far end of room, against back wall.
Excellent, very pleasant and helpful.
Tiny venue car park, but there is a much larger one across the road.
Good. Best way is through the fire exit , and across the lounge. All flat right to the stage.
High stage, with control of some of the venue lights. Plentiful power, and loads of space.
Superb. Splendid new car park, acres of space, and you can unload next to the door. Move your van afterwards, as it blocks a security camera.
Very good. a short walk from the entrance to the setup area.
Corner of room near Kitchen door. This door is used through the night, so take care not to obstruct it. Large rigs not needed. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Superb. Nicest and most helpful Ive seen in ages. A pleasure to work with.
Paid parking spaces directly outside.
Through main doors, approx 20 metres through restaurant area to stage.
Stage area (slightly raised) - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Friendly and helpful
Very good. Large car parks.
Very good. Park outside fire doors, straight to stage.
Very good indeed. Large stage., good headroom.
Interesting. Keep the hotel on your left at all times, and life will be easy. The best car park is at the rear, and you can usually park in the hatched delivery bay.
Fairly good. You park on the pavement opposite a gate which leads to the fire exit for the function room. Once unloaded, you do another circular tour, back to the car park.
Quite good. Corner of room, near back wall.
Absolutely brilliant, especially reception.
Superb. Large level car park, with the fire doors for the function room facing into it. Perfect.
Excellent. The fire doors lead directly to the stage, a walk of a few paces. Only minor niggle is that the steps to the stage are very awkward to negotiate when carrying gear, too narrow, too shallow, and with a quarter turn leading to a narrow walkway.
Large high stage, with plenty of headroom. Stage appears to be storage area for surplus chairs and tables. Loads of power points. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: over 4m
Very nice in the main.
On street, can be close to fire escape if you're lucky. Quite a few spaces available nearby.
Adequate. External metal fire escape, quite shallow and reasonable.
Stage which can be cluttered with chairs and other impediments.
Very helpful.
Normal golf club, if you bag a space near fire exit, it\'s helpful. You will be parking in the handicapped bay though.
Through the locker room, a couple of doorways to negotiate. Narrow.
It\'s a long narrow room. Small rigs help, not too wide.
Lovely
Very good, unless there's a cricket match on, in which case space can be a bit limited.
Very good, but not perfect. You can park very near the door, but access is narrow, and the entrance door is also narrow. Short walk from door to setup area.
Most of the back wall is available, but it's customary to use the corner away from the door. There's adequate room for a decent sized rig.
Very pleasant.
Very good. Nice tarmac car park. Try to get close to the kitchen door.
Pretty good. Simple matter to get through the small room next to the kitchen, and into the main hall.
Small low corner stage. Plenty of room for a normal rig, but room isn't huge, so large rigs not necessary.
Didn't meet any, so can't comment.
Limited. Very small designated area, but loads of space around the field.
Ramp into room, at opposite end to dancefloor.
Decent sized area, limited power. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Like to be out in good time after finish.
Limited, and not adjacent to venue. Staff allowed me to reverse up to the venue to load and unload, so not a big issue.
Good. Down a corridor to far end of room, all dead level, and easy.
In front of the telly on the wall. Plenty of room, plenty of power. Perfectly fine.
Absolutely wonderful, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
Small car park, awkwardly situated for entrance. Parking on street can be nearer the dors.
All on the flat, but through three doorways. Not ideal.
Small stage, power at each side. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Helpful and pleasant.
Very good, when you know. There's a large car park at the front, but you want to go round the side to the rear, where there's a smaller car park. Park next to the fire exit, and it's a good load in.
Pretty good. Only one small step ( kerb ) to negotiate, and you're in the function room. If it's dark it requires great care, because of the step. The step also makes trolleys hard to use, but they're not vital anyway.
Room can be divided by curtains, so you could be set up anywhere. There's likely to be ample room wherever you are.
Very friendly.
Small car park at front, but it's likely that you'll be in secure parking at the side of the building.
Trolley needed. The place isn't designed as an entertainment venue, and depending on where you're setting up can be a long walk. It's a warehouse with plywood walls, some of which move.
Awkward. Unless you're in " The Woolpack " there's no designated entertainment area. The area off the Woolpack is triangular, matt black walls, and has one power point. If you set up on the back wall, your cables will cross a huge doorway. Not easy.
Absolutely excellent, an absolute pleasure to deal with.
There is a good sized car park shared by adjacent venues, but you need to drive down to the fire exit, where you can gain access.
Through fire exit, past ladies toilets. Short distance, but very tight turn, so a bit awkward.
Small room, small dancefloor, doors either side. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful, very friendly.
Limited hard car park, but lots of grass suitable for parking if necessary.
Good. Best access from large doors at rear, although front door is closer, but more awkward.
Corner of room, with light controls behind you.
Excellent.
Adequately sized car park adjacent to venue.
All flat, but a thirty yard walk to the stage. It may be possible to park down the side of the building, which would mean you enter directly in front of the stage, but not all vehicles may be suitable for this, as its not a paved surface.
Low stage, enough room for disco and small band - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Perfectly pleasant.
Excellent, but not obvious. The main tarmac car park is at the front, but access to the function room is best from driving past the clubhouse to the beer garden.
Superb. Park next to the beer garden, through double doors, and straight onto stage.
Corner stage, not huge, but workable. Not the greatest headroom, but again workable enough.
Superb, very helpful and pleasant.
Very reasonable. Very narrow entrance to the street, which widens out into a fair sized car park for the venue.
Through fire exit, up three stone steps, very reasonable. I was able to park the car right next to these.
Plenty of choice, small room, you could go across the corner, or along either adjacent wall. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very pleasant and helpful. Sticklers for finishing on time, due to noise constraints with nearby houses.
Poor. There's a small car park next to the pub, but it's got prohibition notices all over. Allegedly a £100 fine for using it without permission.
Not great. Cobbled courtyard leads to function room, which can be accessed through the pub, or along the courtyard. Twenty plus yard walk, with two steps.
Corner of the room, quite suitable for the purpose.
Friendly enough, music must finish at midnight on the dot, and a swift exit is appreciated. No problem really.
Very good car park, you can get your vehicle close to the doors, and then return it to the car park.
Large flight of stairs up to function room, there is a service lift, but it is harder to use that than carry the gear up, as it\'s not well situated.
Corner of room, no specific area.
Lovely staff.
Best parking is at rear of complex, where you can use the fire door, which is straight into room. Don't forget to log your vehicle registration into a terminal to avoid fines.
Superb. Through the door, and you're in.
Usually end wall, close to power sockets.
Absolutely excellent.
Good. Multiple car parks.
Disabled ramp available for unloading to lift. Good trolley very useful. Once upstairs, three doors to negotiate.
Acres of space, lots of power supplies, lots of choice, dependent on room layout used. Room has movable dividers, so you may sometimes be able to set up while rest of room is in use.
Excellent, very helpful.
Very good, multiple car parks. Remember to log your registration in at a terminal, to avoid fines.
Option of going through the main doors, or fire exits straight into room. Steps or ramp depending on where you park.
Variable. Room has movable dividers, so you could be along side or end wall.
Excellent.
Reasonable. Long narrow car park, with access to front doors opf function room.
All flat, Trolley a big advantage,
No stage area. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Friendly staff.
Interesting. Small, narrow access, and tricky. On street parking at a premium at any time of day. Car park at rear gives best access.
If you can get your vehicle in the car park, access to room is very good. Straight through fire exit.
Small corner stage, with low but workable headroom.
Some lovely, some not so lovely.
Huge car park, which may be full of golfers at peak times. Worst case scenario is to unload gear, and move vehicle.
Park near the metal fire escape to unload. Wide treads, and shallow slope, so very good in dry weather. Was unlit when I left, but usable with care. Quite a long trek up the steps. Once at the top, it's a short walk to the setup area.
There's a low stage, and two raised areas at the side. Stage may have things stored on it, so may not be available. If not, set up on raised area, or dance floor as you wish.
Very helpful, and very pleasant.
First class. Huge tarmac car park, very well maintained. Can park next to access fire doors.
Excellent. Small ramp into venue, through double fire doors, which can be securely fastened open. It should be scored a 5, but I can\'t because of the ramp.
Well designed stage, with plentiful power. Access steps at side behind a door. Low enough to place kit on and then walk up steps. Lots of power sockets at rear of stage.
Poor. Small car park behind pub, but you have to drive onto the grass to get to the gate near the beer garden.
Flat, but more than one door, at least two of which will be locked initially.
Low stage, low ceiling, but loads of power points, and a light for the DJ. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2m or less
Very good.
Very good. Decent sized car park, you can drive up to the entrance.
Very fair. Either three wide steps to the door, or disabled ramp which is a lot further. Good access through doors into venue.
Corner under television. Slightly pushed for space, but not too bad. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very pleasant.
Large car park. Its usually possible to park near the entrance.
Two flights of stairs, with landings. Far from ideal, especially with doors top and bottom.
Cramped. Usually at the far end of the room, near the pool table. Large rigs not recommended. Room is relatively long and narrow, with bar at opposite end to disco. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Its not often possible to gain access very early. Otherwise, staff are fine.
Adequate. Parked vehicles may impede access somewhat.
Along a hard path at the side of the building. Thirty metre walk.
Small room, pool table pushed in a corner is a nuisance. Minimal kit needed, dance area quite small, but bar area is larger. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful.
Park on single yellow line at side to unload through fire doors. Long stay car park immediately opposite.
Very good. Across pavement to doors, and a few steps to stage.
Excellent. Large stage with steps. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Very helpful.
Small, but good car park. It should be possible to park by the door and unload, then move the vehicle.
Good. All flat, short walk into function room.
Small low portable stage. Set up at one end of room. Large rigs not advisable, room is quite small.
You can park outside the entrance doors, but you then have to move your vehicle, as it impedes access to the car park at the rear.
I have put that the room is on the ground floor, when actually its on the first floor. The car park at the rear is at the same level though, so the access is absolutely flat and level. Staff will peg back the security door to allow access, and its then fairly easy.
End of a room, in front of window. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very nice.
Huge car park, fully tarmacced.
There are different choices for access. Through the front doors is marred by five steep steps with narrow handrails. Once you're up there, it's all flat and easy, but a long walk. It's worth putting a trolley at the top, and using it.
Corner of room, near bar. Huge rigs a disadvantage, small ones recommended.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Good sized car park at rear, or on street parking at front. If you use the stairs for access, this could severely hinder access too the car park for other users.
Two choices. Park on the road, at the front of the venue and have level access through four sets of self-closing doors, or use the side entrance, which means a flight of stairs. Parking your vehicle to use the side entrance could hamper other vehicles access to the car park at the rear though.
Small stage, Low headroom on the stage, but high ceiling in the room. An abundance of RCD protected power outlets on stage. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2m or less
Very pleasant and helpful.
Poor to just passable. The smallest car park Ive ever seen, not big enough for a large van. Very busy before 5pm, as its used by local office workers. Nearby on street parking is one hour free, no return at all, until 6pm, when its unrestricted.
Poor again. External steel fire escape, leading to coded security door at top, and an internal door to room.
Cramped. Smallest dance floor Ive ever seen. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 3-4m
Very nice and helpful.
Access down side of building through fire doors. Parking is off road, and its very narrow, but possible to drive round the building to exit if parked vehicles allow.

Access down side of building through fire doors. Parking is off road, and its very narrow, but possible to drive round the building to exit if parked vehicles allow.
Parking near fire doors at back of venue, Leads directly to stage.
Three steps onto stage, or walk through a door to get to front of stage, and lift gear up.
Full stage, with dimmable overhead lighting. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: over 4m
Caretaker very helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent.
Very good. Huge car park, best to unload near doors, and move vehicle after.
Very good. Trolley friendly ramp, doors which can be locked back. It;s not a long walk straight to setup area.
Next to power socket in middle of back wall. Lots of space for larger rigs, if desired.
Lovely staff, very pleasant.
There is a dedicated car park not too far away.
Access is by tracks in the woods, covered in wood chippings. If wet, you may not be able to get along them, as they may be blocked off to save them being chewed up.
In itself, very good. Permanent booth, with shelves. Unfortunately, while it has a roof, it doesn't have a full complement of walls, and can be very draughty indeed.
Big car park, can be busy early on. The most suitable spaces for unloading are reserved for Golf Club officials, sadly.
Far from ideal. Five steps down from the car park to the electronically locked security front door. From there, its a short walk to the lift. Do not stack kit against the far wall as you get in, as this will become the door at the next level. From there, its a short walk to the performance area.
In front of a trophy cabinet, at one end of the room. Doors either side of it, which may or may not be in use. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 3-4m
Absolutely brilliant. Lovely people.
Decent sized car park at one end of the building.
It's fifty yards from the car park to the setup area. Trolley friendly concrete path helps a little.
Recently refurbished after a flood, very nice decor. Very low corner stage, just big enough for a four foot booth, although if you wish, there's an entire back wall to set up along. Headroom above stage is hampered by ceiling beams.
Very friendly. Do be aware that if you're told it's a 1am finish, that's when you're out of the building by, not when you stop the music.
Good. Large car park at rear.
Very good. six large steps up to terrace outside function room. You can drive your vehicle right up to the steps.
Interesting. small dance section of room at one end, and the DJ area seems to be the overflow storage for tables and chairs. Very cramped. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Excellent. Very pleasant and helpful.
Good. Smallish car park at rear of main one.
Very reasonable. Either along tarmac and steps into fire door, or across grassy slope, which is much shorter. From there, all flat and no doors to setup area.
The ante room is wide and shallow. Set up along back wall, and you'll have space to the sides, but probably impinge onto dance floor. Booth may not be level because of this, you may wish to take small pieces of wood to level the booth.
Excellent. Very laid back.
Large car park at front.
Very good. Use the goods access entrance, which is separate from the hotel entrance, and you can park next to the access doors. This brings you in past the bar and kitchen.
Middle of room, against wall. Good placement.
Superb, couldn't have been more helpful.
Limited, and a little random.
Fair to good. You can get a vehicle to the entrance, but only to unload. Easier to park at bottom of steps in car park, and stay there.
Big stage, with power round walls. When I went, it was full of band kit, so I used floor in front of stage, absolutely fine.
Excellent, you can drive right up to the ramp by the main doors.
Large ramp at front, with gentle slope. This leads straight into main hall. A trolley makes this very easy. Gear will then have to be lifted onto the stage, or there are steps at on side.
Large stage, power at both sides, curtains if needed. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Very helpful.
Large car park, bays near access ramp are disabled bays.
Fair. Shallow full width ramp to two sets of double doors, and then up to the high stage. Good trolley essential. There is another shorter option from the far end of the building, but it involves stairs and multiple doors.
Large stage, as much room as you could wish for.
No issues
Large car park, often busy.
If gate is unlocked, superb access through fire doors at side. If gate locked, access is up ramp at front, through front doors, and through the room itself. Pretty much a nightmare.
Usually on the pool table. Small room. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Excellent.
Excellent. Decent sized car park, with an unloading bay near the entrance.
Very good. Either through the venue doors into the room, or along the covered path and through the fire exit, which leads straight to the setup area.
Corner of room near fire exit.
If only they were all as nice and helpful as these. Superb.
Excellent, large car park, you can park right outside the doors to the stage.
A few yards to the stage.
Large stage, power sockets at each side, but not many and not close. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Pleasant enough.
Rugby league stadium, with huge car park. Acres of space.
Park close to doors, three steps down into performance area. Not too bad.
Small stage, with low headroom at front. Difficult to get lights high enough. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2m or less
Not at all pleasant or helpful.
Huge car park at rear, mind the large potholes. It's possible to drive close to function room to unload, and return to car park.
Excellent. Drive up near to fire exit, all paved, level and smooth. Put your vehicle in car park after unloading.
Corner of room, next to power sockets, just in front of TV. Good amount of space, reasonable ceiling height.
Absolutely perfect.
Car park is a good size, but can be busy. Venue opens for breakfast, and can have a lot of guests early on, so car park space can be limited.
Superb, if you can park near door. It may be worth moving vehicle as spaces appear.
Bliss. Colour wash and moving heads fitted, so no light show needed, if you wish. No PA either, as you're given two signal leads to the venue PA, controlled by the bar staff.
Absolutely excellent, couldn't be more helpful.
On street to unload is best option, there\'s a large tarmac car park to the side.
As above, unload on pavement, but you can get a trolley into the venue with no problem.
There is a stage, very small, low headroom.
Absolutely first class.
Excellent. Large, well lit tarmac car park.
Not too bad. It's possible to fit Transit sized vans through a special space in the bollards, and up to the automatic doors. A few yards to the lift, through some slightly awkward doors, and across the room.
Interesting. All discos go in the far corner, fifteen yards from the dancefloor, with a pillar in between. Not ideal. Low ceiling too, which doesn't help at all in this respect.
Absolutely excellent, very pleasant and helpful.
Drop off at front; adequate parking to side and rear
Small concrete ramp in to room
Small setup area BUT there is a DJ booth available for use
Good staff
Adequate. You can drive from the main park to nearer the doors.
Not ideal. Bollards prevent you from driving to the doors, so it's fifteen yards to the doors, twenty yards plus to the second doors, few steps to the third doors, and then another twenty yards to the stage. Sadly, there are four steps down to the stage area which make trolleys of limited use.
Fairly high stage, power points everywhere, very good indeed
Fine.
Good. Big gravel car park near access.
Good, but a shame you can't get the vehicle near the doors. Steps into room, then dance floor area immediately on left.
Compact. Small rig advised, you will have a tiny area to work in, but the room is large, so can hold many guests.
Very good. Huge tarmac car park, all round the building. Park at rear, next to access fire doors.
Fair. Very good to get into the room, but the stairs to the high stage are really narrow and awkward.
Big high stage, bit low on headroom.
Large car park, can be crowded early on due to other sports centre users.
Very good. Two big doors to get to the room, all flat and level. About twenty yards. Trolley an advantage, but not essential. Park in a disabled bay, and move after unloading.
Stage. Waist high, very clean and tidy, access to house lights as well. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 2-3m
Absolutely brilliant. Lovely.
Good. Park round the rear of the venue, and use a fire exit near the stairs and lift.
Quite reasonable. There is a service lift, but be careful not to place items against the wall, as they'll rub against it. The lift is very slow, and slightly awkward. Best to use it for bulky items, and carry small ones up the stairs.
Corner of room, under lowest part of ceiling. Still sufficient height for overhead. This part of the area is somewhat isolated from the main area, so can be hard to drag guests in.
Very friendly.
Very very good. Large public car park adjacent to venue, no restrictions.
Very good also. Park in the spaces in the public car park, at the end of the building and use the fire exit.
No dedicated area, usually a corner near the power sockets. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m
Helpful. Caretakers number is posted on a noticeboard if needed.
Excellent. Large, well maintained car park, with hard paving up to the door.
Excellent. Doors can be propped open, it's a short walk to setup area.
Small, but easily big enough for a small rig. Four foot booths would fit, but be cramped. In an alcove at one end of the room.
Really friendly and helpful.
Excellent. Well maintained large car park. Beware ending up at the wrong side of the railway, as some sat navs will take you there.
Excellent. Beautiful paved pathway, very smooth. Doors can be wedged open, it's a short walk to the performance area.
A little alcove near the door. Large rigs would be a tight fit, small ones recommended.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Barely adequate for unloading, car park a tad cramped. You may find vehicles parked in the parking bays you wish to unload in.
Flat, but a long way. Trolleys essential.
Plenty of room to set up, but beware: the floor is like a trampoline. Large speaker stacks can be unstable because of this. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
No issues
Not too bad. There's a space to park near the doors to unload. Once unloaded, put your vehicle in the main park.
Not great. Two sets of doors which can't be propped open, then a narrow corridor with tight turns, rendering trolleys useless. Long awkward carry on this one, I'm afraid.
No designated area, just next to a wall near the dancefloor.
Very helpful.
Excellent. You can park next to the fire doors leading into the room.
Very good. Through two doors, and straight into room. Dead flat, no obstacles.
Slightly offset from main room, but not at all bad.
Very good.
Not great. Good sized car park, but narrow and tapering towards the venue. Can't get vehicles near the entrance.
Poor. Either a thirty yard trek along a paved area to the main door, which is narrow and awkward, and effectively unusable due to tables and chairs once inside, or fifty yards to the fire exit, over a wicked slope at one point, but leads onto the stage.
Far from ideal. It's six inches high, and more of a darts oche. The headroom is very very low, and there's an RSJ lowering it further in front of you. The only saving grace, is there's a power point in the corner.
Pleasant enough.
Pretty good. Park near the door to unload, it's quite close to the performance area.
Good, not too far, reasonably easy.
End of a long narrow room. Low ceiling.
Absolutely fine.
Long narrow car park, may be difficult to get close to entrance.
Pretty good. Through two sets of doors, and into function room.
Small room, so small rigs recommended.
Excellent, very helpful.
On street, so pot luck. If you can get a space nearby it's not too bad. Restrictions end early, so that's workable.
Interesting. Across the pavement, through the bar, through the restaurant, up the spiral staircase, across the landing and up the steps. Not as bad as it sounds, but far from ideal.
Tiny. Corner of small room.
Excellent, absolutely excellent.
Double yellows at front, very few parking spaces nearby. Best access to function room is from a narrow lane at the back. You reverse up to the beer garden, and go up the fire escape, into the function room.
External fire escape.
Very small stage, with low frontage overhead., making it difficult to use lights on the crossbar. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 3-4m
Very friendly and helpful.
Road to venue is very narrow, and theres only a tiny sign at the end. Big car park, loads of space.
Good. If you pull along the road leading to the fishing lake, you can get in by smallish double doors next to the setup area. You may have to move your vehicle for anglers, as it blocks the road. There are small steps in this way, entering by the main entrance is level, but many doors and turns, quite awkward.
Big bay window, plenty of space for a normal sized rig, speakers will have to be in the window as well, as theres not much room to spare in front due to tables. Headroom in the window is not brilliant. - width available: 3-4m
Really friendly, nice folk.
Large car park at the end of a very long lane. Plenty of space, but vehicles may be blocking access to the doors you want.
Through passageway to function room. Fairly short distance, a few good steps, and/or a good ramp involved.
When I was there, the performance area was the pool table. Space is limited. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Very friendly and helpful.
Poor. Smallish car park at front, access to unloading area by a narrow alley at back. Very tight with a big van, bins and trailers are obstacles to negotiate.
Poor. A large step in the doorway of the fire doors means trollies are little help.
Big high stage, well past its best. Cluttered with installed kit. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Absolutely fine.
Huge car park, can park outside nearest doors.
Good. All level, short walk to function room.
Very small room. Had to set up on the pool table. Setup area somewhat cramped. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 3-4m
Average staff. Fine to deal with.
Reasonably sized car park at rear of venue.
Pretty good. Half a dozen big shallow steps into venue, leading directly to performance area.
Cramped. They want you to set up in the chair storage area, and the curtains dont help at all. Far from ideal, a standard Ultimax/DSB takes up most of the room, and speakers are tricky to place because of it. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Pleasant enough, but some confusion over preferred set up areas.
Excellent. Large car park, with dedicated , covered unloading area. This is a public area, so you may have to wait if other suppliers are using it.
Reasonable. Six high steps up to entrance doors, but once up there it's all flat, with wide doors which can be fixed open. You're likely to be taking lots of kit here, so good trolley essential.
No dedicated area, but the area by the room dividers has multiple electrical sockets, and is a good place.
Very good.
Busy car park, spaces may be limited at busy periods.
Great if you can park near the fire doors, or end of ramp. Up steps or ramp as you wish, and straight into room, next to setup area.
Corner of room, very low ceiling in setup area. Nicely positioned though.
Lovely, very pleasant and helpful.
Very, very good. Be aware that the car park is on Middle Street, and that's the best access. Excellent tarmac car park.
Very good. Choice of steps or ramp with power doors. Short walk into hall.
High stage, with adequate power. Plenty of headroom.
Absolutely lovely, very helpful.
Small car park leading to ramp into function room. Space can be tight.
By ramp, long one, with fairly tight u-turn.
Very good. Low stage, with plenty of room, but slightly low overhead.
Very helpful.
Good. Multiple car parks, on various levels, due to slope of site.
Three car parks, one which accesses the room from a lower floor directly into function room, one which is same level, but access through bar, and it's a long way, with doorways.
Very good. Six inch high stage, very wide, but no power on it. Long extensions needed, must be taped down or cable protectors used.
Very helpful, very mindful of noise issues. Sound levels will be monitored regularly with a hand held meter.
Fair. Car park is long and narrow, so parking near the entrance congests the car park somewhat. If there's a match on, spaces will be at a premium.
Pretty good. Up a small ramp, and only a few steps into the function room.
Interesting. There's a " booth " overlooking the dance floor, it's wide and narrow to get into. It's difficult to find room for a stand of your own, and difficult to find space for your lighting stand. Best bet is lights which can be used freestanding.
Perfectly fine.
Nicely adequate. Bigger car park at rear, once you've unloaded.
Very good. Park to unload next to the outer doors, and through one set of internal doors, which can be pegged back. Short distance to setup area. Then move your vehicle to the car park at the rear.
Very low ceiling in setup area only. Roof has glass panels, and room can be very bright when sunny. No blackout options apparent.
Lovely folk, very pleasant.
Interesting. Options are to park in the main car park and fight your way through the entire building to the function room, or drive over the grass at the front to the path into this room. Could be dodgy in wet weather.
As above, good if you can get over the grass. Bad if you have to go through the whole building.
No designated area, just pick a space along the wall.
No staff present at function.
Fair sized tarmac car park, on a slope.
Two choices. Park the vehicle near the entrance, which is on a slope. Through three sets of double doors, it\'s a good distance to function room. The better option is to park on the wide pavement round the corner, and use the fire exit at that side, much shorter distance, and no extra doors.
A tad cramped. There\'s an alcove with low ceiling height intended for the disco, with lots of power sockets. If there aren\'t tables near, you could set up just in front of the alcove, but smallish rigs recommended to be safe.
Excellent, huge car park.
Excellent, huge car park.
Excellent, huge car park.
Excellent, huge car park.
Excellent. Next to fire doors.
Excellent. Next to fire doors.
Excellent. Next to fire doors.
Excellent. Next to fire doors.
Acres of space. Car park itself not well surfaced, but perfectly acceptable.
Good. Park near the beer unloading dock, and theres a disabled ramp as well.
Very reasonable. Dedicated power supply for disco. Set up directly opposite bar, room is not big, so smaller rigs advisable. Time allowed may be tight, so speed of set up/take down is important. - width available: 2-3m
Fine. Helpful, but mindful of rules and timings.
Park your van in the private courtyard under the arch , once you've unloaded near the marquee.
Park near the marquee on the gravel drive. All vehicles use this area, so can become congested, and you may be boxed in by other vehicles.
Whole end of marquee. Excellent.
Perfectly fine.
Car park at rear, but best access for disco is to drive along the grass/path at the side of the hall nearest to the road, and use the doors halfway along.
Brilliant. Straight through fire doors, and a few paces up to the stage.
High stage, plenty of room. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
The caretaker wasnt the friendliest Ive ever met. Helpful enough, but not friendly.
Huge car park, little bit long and narrow. All good tarmac.
Fair. Twenty metre plus to door, then into function room. Path slopes steeply down to venue, so trolleys may be an issue.
Interesting. Alcove/fireplace with low headroom, and temporary dancefloor set close to it, making it tricky to get lights in front, for greater height.
Very good. Tarmac car park, with a section adjacent to access for fire doors just big enough for a Transit.
Vey good. No obstacles, fire doors in middle of room. It\'s a bit of a carry to setup area.
End of room, lots of power points all along wall.
Large car park, but more cramped near entrance.
Flat, but a little uneven. Its a longish walk, and you can put gear in the conservatory until the room is available.
Corner of room under sloping ceiling. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very pleasant.
Huge car park, but very congested and narrow where you need to unload.
Fair. The Lounge is closer than the function room, but not quite as easy due to awkward doors.
Interesting. The temporary dance floor was sited in a place which made the placement of the disco less than ideal.
Absolutely wonderful, so helpful and pleasant.
Interesting. Single lane access to club, small car park which is very bad at closing time. You may easily be boxed in by taxis and other vehicles.
If the weather is dry, you may be able to drive vehicle to far end of building to unload. Otherwise, it's a long walk down a concrete path, and through the main building.
Corner of room. Low headroom, small room.
Superb. Couldn't be more helpful.
Limited car park, but lots of space for suppliers on grass round Tipi.
Excellent. Short distance from access point to setup area.
Designated area at end, ideal. Facing the whole tent.
Absolutely lovely, so nice.
Adequate. Gravel car park at rear of building. Gravel is not well bedded in, so is quite soft.
Superb. Park next to the large fire exit, and straight onto the stage.
Small stage, quite high. On my visit the stage had many chairs stored on it, so space was limited.
Excellent.
Adequate. Narrow car parking near building, opening out further away.
Good. Ramp to fire exit, straight into setup area.
Tight. Corner of room, between toilet doors and staff access.
No issues
Not bad, once youve found the place. Sign at the side of the road says Squash Club, all you can see is the Rugby Club, and Cricket Club is tucked away in a corner. nGood sized car park, tapers off towards cricket club.
Five steps, straight into room.
Small. Plenty of sockets. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2m or less
Very pleasant.
Limited. Poor.
Limited. Poor.
Limited. Poor.
Limited. Poor.
Not great. Straggling car park separated from building by a wall. There is a removable bollard at the entrance which may be unlocked, allowing you to drive up to the front of the building. Quite tight for large vans.
Again poor. Steps into venue, then stairs with a quarter turn to the Phoenix Suite. Stairs themselves are wide enough, and quite nice treads.
Awful. There is a permanent dancefloor at the far end, with two alcoves for the disco. Very cramped, with low headroom. The alcoves face the dancefloor, but not the rest of the room. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2m or less
Absolutely fine.
Interesting. If venue isn't open, wait in the car park until venue staff open the dedicated parking area near function room. The venue is security fenced, so this is not accessible until unlocked by staff.
Surprisingly good. Shallow sloping path to fire doors, which can be locked open easily. Straight into performance area.
Very small, low stage.
Absolutely fine, pleasant.
Large Car Park, but gates may be locked, if there isn't a game on.
Good. All hard paving, very trolley friendly. Park vehicle near access doors, and move after unloading. It's quite a distance, but easy, all flat.
Corner of room, near dartboard.
Absolutely fine to deal with, very pleasant.
Good. Nice car park, and if you're lucky, you can get one of the two spaces near the access stairs.
Up the metal fire exit stairs, and straight into the room.
Corner of the room. Wide window lwdge adjacent, which you can stow cases etc on behind the curtain.
Excellent.
Limited parking near access doors, but plenty available once unloaded.
Quite good. Very wide staircase up to room, or small lift which doesn't carry too much kit at once. Once at the top of the stairs, through fire doors to far end of room. Not a one person job, really.
Far end of room, plenty of space depending on where dancefloor is placed.
Absolutely excellent, lovely folk.
Huge car park, so no problems there. Best option is to park near steps to decking.
Five steps up to balcony, and straight into room through big patio doors. . Not a huge room, and lower than ideal ceiling in setup area.
Alcove at end of room, low ceiling, unless you come forward into room. Not a huge room, but ceiling in main part is very high. Huge rigs not needed, especially as you must leave access to Ladies toilet at one side of the rig.
Very pleasant.
Reasonable sized car park.
Good. Two sets of double doors which can be fixed open, and straight across room to low stage in corner.
Fairly small low stage in corner. Lots of power points, but also the dreaded sound limiter apparently controlling them. Not sure how it's set up, as no venue staff present, and they hadn't mentioned it to customers, so may be set on monitor, I don't know. Rolling off a lot of bass helps a lot.
No issues
Very good. There's a big car park, but you can back your van up to the fire doors on what is technically a pavement, and usually you can leave it there.
All dead flat, and very trolley friendly. Setup area is at the far side of a sports hall, so fairly long trek, hence need for trolley.
No dedicated area, centre of back wall.
Excellent.
Not too bad . On street parking, no dedicated parking for venue.
Six fairly steep stone steps from pavement to a single door which opens outwards, making access tricky. Alternatively, you can go through double doors, up internal steps and a second set of double doors, and have a longer carry to the room.
Small stage in corner of room. Adequate. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful and pleasant.
Excellent. Ring number shown at barrier for combination, drive to room, and park in disabled bays to unload.
Flat pavement, very good. Only a matter of fifteen metres or so.
Close to doors, under TV on wall. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful.
Adequate number of spaces, not great in wet weather, quite a few puddles.
Very good. You can park near the fire exit and load through there.
Plenty of room available, no problems at all. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
Friendly enough.
Small, tidy car park at rear.
Fair. Along concrete path, and enter through fire exit. This will bring you into the function room. There are two small steps which make trolleys difficult to use.
Usually a corner of room opposite the entrance. Space may be limited if a lot of tables are in use.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Large car park. Best access to function room is through fire doors at end.
Not bad. Tarmac in car park doesnt extend to fire doors, you have to park next to a flower bed at the end of the building, and walk round that to get access.
Very small quadrant stage at far end of room from access point. Not a lot of space. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Absolutely fine, very pleasant.
You can park right outside the front doors, on the wide pavement. You then have to move your vehicle to the free car park a few yards away, once youve unloaded.
Excellent. Two sets of big doors, and all flat and level to the stage.
A small stage, which is used for other things. There was an amateur dramatic set on there when I went. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very pleasant.
Poor. Double yellow lines outside venue, pay and display car park opposite, although that seems to be free after 6pm weekends. Unload on double yellows and move vehicle to car park.
Twenty yards to venue from pavement. Access via very narrow stairs, with a quarter turn halfway up.
Wooden floored section of room, in an alcove, so slightly hidden from guests. Not ideal. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Nice helpful staff.
Limited Parking Around the cricket pitch
Can get close to the door and then down a small corridor to the lift from the lift then across the room to the setup area
No official setup area, just in one corner of the room - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Very nice staff, very helpful.
Good. Adequate tarmac park, you can back up next to a fire exit to unload. From there it's a long way to the stage area, good trolley required.
Reasonable. All flat, bar a two inch step in a doorway. Full length of a huge shed to the stage.
Vast, just like the venue. Main stage is four feet high, with a lower level as well. There's also a small corner stage as well. The venue is fitted with a full lighting rig for all manner of performances, but staff members who know how to operate it fully may not be present.
Very helpful.
Interesting. Big tarmac park, but areas near the club can be very wet/muddy.
Level. Many options. Really long trolley down the front path, bit tricky that. Really short carry across function room, from fire exit, but the access to it is currently a swamp, and barricaded off ( Feb 2022) .Best option is back entrance, and a sensible carry past the bar. Still a tad muddy at this one., but workable.
Bijou. Corner low stage, with furniture on walls. Small room, small rig recommended, especially as headroom is limited.
Very big car park, plenty of room.
Very good. Through fire exit straight into a small room.
Alcove with very low headroom. Best to set up just in front of it.
No issues
Huge tarmac car park. Splendid.
Trolley essential. Fairly flat and level into the function room, but a few little ledges in doorways or floor chaanges.
Great. Huge stage, acres of headroom. Little short on sockets, but not bad.
Lovely helpful staff, absolutely superb.
Not too bad. Don't park in the big car park, drive up to the building, where you may be able to get near enough to unload, and possibly leave the vehicle.
Could be better. Spoiled by some fairly narrow, steep steps. Not helped by the fact that they face away from the car park.
Corner of room, loads of power points, and a lighting control panel, which you may use on request. It's not high grade, cutting edge, but it's fit for purpose.
Absolutely excellent, superb.
Magnificent. Acres of space, all hard standing, but not tarmac.
Very very good. Multiple options, and you can get the vehicle close to whichever entrance is used. High thresholds mean trolleys have to be loaded inside the venue.
It's a blank canvas. Power points are in limited supply, so set up near to one.
Only seen at close of play, since you hire the venue, not the staff. They were perfectly pleasant and helpful, and keen to adhere to a midnight finish.
Very good, but can get very busy.
All on the flat, up to steps to get in. Trolley of limited use, only to get gear to door. Can only get vehicle twenty yards from door.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Low stage, with frontage separating guests. Power beyond your wildest dreams.
Big car park, but not necessarily possible to park near venue.
Trolley friendly, and by heavens, youll need one. Its a fifty yard plus walk to the entrance to the function room.
Very good. Very close to entrance doors. No specific area, but plenty of suitable choice. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful.
Hard car park, access possible over grass to get nearer function room if dry.
Adequate at worst, if grass is dry enough to carry a vehicle, excellent.
Small area in corner of small room. Venue ony suitable for small functions, minimal kit required. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Staff only present to lock and unlock venue for the teen functions. Very pleasant, but like quick rig/de-rig of gear. Half an hour is the stated amount.
Very good. Good sized car park, with reasonable access
Not fantastic. Three big stone steps at front, and then a small porch with turns through narrow doors. Straight into function room after that.
Cramped. In a corner, under a shelf. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
No issues
Adequate. The venue is down a lane round the cricket ground, but the sign at the end say Social Club. There is parking on the wider part of the lane near the venue, but unloading gear can cause a bottleneck.
Good, if you can park near the entrance. Short walk, one step.
Interesting. You're actually setting up in the changing room, which is separated from the main room by folding doors. Once they're folded, you're looking into the main room.
Excellent, very helpful.
Really big vans may not fit through the narrow access at the rear. There's a very small car park behind the building
Very good, but if you park outside the access doors you block the narrow lane totally. If you park out of the way in the car park, there's a ramp at the end, so even that's decent access. As you go through the doors, it leads directly onto the big stage.
Excellent. High stage with curtains, so if guests are in the venue, you can enter separately from the rear, and set up on stage behind the curtains. Low overhead at front of stage, but not unduly problematical.
Very helpful on phone, didn't meet at venue.
Park in one of the numerous disabled bays outside the venue to unload, then move the vehicle further along the street.
Two pairs of doors, then a very steep set of stairs down to the room. Its a long way down, and seems even further back up. Minimal kit recommended.
Corner of room, next to the dreaded sound limiter. Multiple power sockets, some of which are dedicated to the audio, and controlled by the limiter. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m
Helpful enough.
Excellent tarmac car park. Access to both sides of the venue.
Best access from near disabled ramp. Either use ramp, or up two steps straight into room.
Corner of room, with switches for installed basic lighting effects adjacent. Also, jack sockets to passive speakers on wall.
Interesting. Car park is blocked by a lockable bollard, and opened by caretaker when the hall is opened.
Two choices, either in through the front door and along the corridor, or if tables and chairs are in place, park along the side, and use fire exit, which gets you straight into the performance area. Steps involved, so trolley no use, and you can't get transit sized vans right up to the doors.
No designated area, I was asked to use back wall of venue.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Large car park, but spaces near access to venue are limited, and tend to fill up early.
Very reasonable. Just beware that the entrance is not available after 11pm, so you ( should ) exit a very long way round.
Low stage facing across the room. Plenty of power sockets, reasonable headroom on stage, but low ceiling blocks a lot of light. Perhaps uplights might be better.
No issues
Excellent car park, you may have to park carefully to unload, as it narrows the access for guests.
Very fair. Either park close to the doors and through a couple of doors to function room, or a little further up, and a fifteen yard walk through the fire doors. That can be tricky if it\'s windy.
Against back wall, opposite the bar. There may be a temporary stage, there may not.
The best staff I have met anywhere. Treat them with respect.
Large car park at front, narrowing considerably where the entrance to the function room is. Could be tricky at peak times.
Pretty good. Shallow ramp, leading to external doors, and one set internal, which can all be fixed open.
Small, low narrow stage. Plentiful power points, sound limiter on wall, but power sockets on stage worked without switching it on.
Very helpful.
Limited. Usually best to unload kit and move vehicle to a large free car park nearby. Large vans are a liability here, very tight for space.
Fair. Lift is near access doors, and from there there are fire doors to go through to get to Maple Room. Small rigs advised.
Plenty or room along back wall.
Absolutely outstanding, superb.
Good. Decent sized car park.
Good, but you need a trolley, you can\'t get the vehicle near the doors. It\'s flat and level, so no issues with trolley.
In the corner, in front of the kit which lives there permanently.
Lovely staff, great to deal with.
On street parking is handiest, but very limited. Limited parking overall.
Not bad. If you can park on street next to access door, it's a short walk to setup area.
Limited space, small rig needed.
Pleasant.
Very tricky for large vans. You can drive close to the access doors, but its narrow, with a ninety degre bend in. One vehicle fills it. Theres a reasonable amount of onstreetparking for guests
Very good, once youve got the van in.
Small low stage in the corner, abundance of power sockets. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 3-4m
Very pleasant.
Reasonable sixed car parks adjacent to pub.
Superb. Park on the very wide pavement to unload, and put van in car park nearby, lovely.
Snug. Small rigs essential, low headroom.
Spaces marked next to access doors
Straight through doors into hall. All flat, all level. Trolley advisable.
Whole of back wall, next to connectors to venue PA. Use stereo jack socket for music.
Excellent.
Small car park, made trickier by the fact that best access to the function room is in the narrowest corner, with a dangerous drop off if you go too far.
Care needed. Steep step from car park to patio, and similar one from patio to room.
Corner of L-shaped room, bar is at far end of the longest leg, which can mean punters being absent from the room for long periods.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Huge car park, but you create a terrible bottleneck if you choose the handiest place to unload.
Not great. Ramp into building, then through three rooms into room at back. Calling it a function room is misleading, as it's tiny. No internal doors to contend with, but it's narrow and twisty.
Corner of a small room. Smallest possible rigs advised. Also adaptability, as you may be playing anywhere in the pub, but nowhere is good for setting up a disco.
Very nice.
There are two very good tarmac car parks, the smaller one near the beer garden is better for access to function room.
Good. As above, if you use the smaller car park, it's level access to function room. The larger one will involve steps, and going the full length of the venue.
Fair. Corner of room, just enough space for full size booth and PA/Lights. Not a huge room, smaller rigs advised. Ceiling height not too bad.
Absolutely lovely, very helpful and friendly.
Excellent car park, well marked and well maintained.
Slightly tricky. Up a short, steep ramp into the building, and through the next room up a small step. Use of trolley very tricky, best bet is extra pair of hands.
Nice setup area, with permanent dancefloor. Sadly, where you set up is hidden from the body of the room, so unless you place at least one speaker at the other side of the wall, you will not be heard well in the main room. Very tricky.
Absolutely top notch, couldn't be better.
Very good. Adequately sized car park.
Gently sloping paths, and a couple of doors. With a trolley its not bad.
End of a room, slightly cramped, but not bad. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Helpful.
Quite good. Fair sized car park, but function room doors open onto it in a corner, and access may be tight if vehicles are parked opposite them.
Good, but not great. Three double doors to function room, a couple of small steps, and dancefloor is at far side of room, so tables and chairs are an obstacle.
Corner of function room, opposite the bar.
Very professional.
Huge, well kept tarmac car park. You can get fairly near the entrance.
Not great. Options are straight through the building, which has single steps ruling out trolleys effectively, or right round the outside, which has small gates and such, making it a less than straightforward option.
Again, a little lacking. Not a lot of electric sockets make it hard to pick a site. There\'s enough space for a small rig.
Perfectly fine.
You can park by the huge warehouse door to unload, but then you have to use on street parking, and get a ticket. Not too expensive, as it changes tariff at 6pm. I\'m told there\'s usually space available.
Excellent for unloading. Park in front of the doors, and then move your vehicle. It\'s only a few paces into the venue to the setup area.
Corner of venue. Limited space really, so huge rigs not advisable. Excessively high sound levels are discouraged, as there are residents nearby.
Ten out of ten for the staff. Could not have been nicer, or more helpful. An absolute pleasure to deal with.
Small oddly shaped car park.
Very good, park near fire doors to unload, and move vehicle afterwards.
Corner of small room, small rigs needed.
Very helpful.
Decent car park at rear. Sadly, it's a bit narrow for vans at unloading point to function room, especially if others park close.
Very good, if you can get your van near the doors. Through doors, aloong corridor, and into function room. Trolley a big help, as it's absolutely flat and level.
There's a high stage, but it was in use for other things when I was there, so set up in a corner. No problem at all.
Very friendly, very helpful.
Limited, and as you unload, it narrows down access to the car park. Less than ideal.
Fairly good. All absolutely flat, without any risers in doorways. Two sets of doors, and the length of the function room. Trolley very helpful.
Small stage, with some lights, and plentiful power. Headroom a little lacking, but very workable.
Very helpful, but keen to go home at end of night.
Can be a little tight. Long narrow car park, spaces near function room at a premium.
Excellent. Straight in through fire exit, and you're in the set up area. Only issue may be finding a space near the fire doors.
End of the room against a wall, ample room for a reasonable sized rig.
Absolutely excellent.
Huge car park, but only one space any good for loading.
Not at all bad. Ramp up to corridor, twenty yards to three steps into function room.
Whole back wall to choose from from, no problem.
Absolutely lovely.
Fair sized car park, reverse up to the area marked deliveries at the bottom of the car park. From there, its a short trip to the room.
Very good. Although its a basement in the building, its ground floor from the car park. Through a fire door, and across the room.
Tiny. Really tiny. The smallest room Ive ever played in. very little space. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Very very pleasant and helpful.
Grim. Park on the pavement/yellow lines outside venue. The road is the main promenade, so can be very busy. There is a pay and display park round the corner which is free after 6pm.
Long stairs with a turn in it. Fairly shallow though, fortunately. Set up area is likely to be at far side of room, which makes it cramped getting past tables.
Corner of room. Space is limited by doorways to toilets, small rig essential.
No issues
Pretty good. Nice little car park , with a no parking bay which is good for unloading. If you can park in the bay next to this, that's very good.
Very good. One small step into venue porch ( there is a portable ramp in the venue, so may be available for use with trolleys ) and one pair of doors. These are self closing, and don't have and hold open facility. They're a little narrow, and awkward one way.
No specific area for disco, but there's a small space without chairs and tables, next to a big alcove. The alcove has a very low ceiling, and is not good for discos, but excellent for buffets, which seems to be its purpose.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Very reasonable. Venue has a large car park, and access to the room is by a track off this, round the back of the venue. Park by the fire doors. This area is somewhat isolated and hidden, so you may wish to return your vehicle to the main park.
Very fair. A short walk down a corridor with four corners, and three small steps. Trolleys are useless.
Small alcove, with low headroom. Restricted view of room and bar. Small dancefloor area. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2m or less
Very good.
Fair. Tarmac car park, long and narrow.
Fair. Long walk, trolley essential. No big obstacles though.
Low stage, with abundant power. Plenty of headroom, not a huge room.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Good sized car park.
Only fair. All flat, but across some really uneven paving. Trolleys a huge advantage, but small wheeled ones will struggle.Pneumatic tyred ones recommended. Its a long way from the car park to the entrance.
End of the room near the bar. Low ceiling, not a huge width available, but plenty for a reasonable rig. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Absolutely lovely, very helpful.
Long narrow car park belonging to venue, also on street parking in front.
Variable. If you\'re working at the end away from the road, you need a trolley. Near the road is quite close. All tarmac though and smooth.
Hard to describe, very cramped due to a large wedding.
Absolutely fine.
Poor. Hard to find at rear of building. Narrow and poor condition.
Function room. Reverse into the "Beer Garden", through the kitchen door, and up a flight of stairs. This brings you into the setup area of the room. Not the worst ever access, stairs are vey wide and good to use.
Superb. No stage, plenty of power, plenty of room, unl;ess the room was full to capacity, in which case it would diminish considerably. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Very helpful.
Limited
Two steps into building, two separate doors to get into room. Tricky when cold, as staff dont seem to like you latching the doors open.
Good sized stage in a corner, with railings. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Pleasant enough
Interesting. Park on the pavement, in the entrance to John Smiths Brewery, next to the bus shelter, as long as the brewery is closed. Unload, and move your vehicle into the limited on street bays.
Quite good. Small steps in front door, setup area just inside door.
Small. Awkwardly shaped, due to pillars. Compact rigs the order of the day. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
No issues
Park by the side of the road to unload, and then plentiful parking on grass at the other side of the road. Not bad at all.
Fair. Short walk to lift, and shorter one on the next floor. Fair sized lift.
Entire wall in a section of room next to balcony. Ceiling fairly low. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful indeed.
Plentiful adjacent to entrance.
All flat, no problem. A good distance to the setup area, and you have to pick your way through the tables and chairs to get there.
Dedicated end of room with small dancefloor. Disco points across it, rather than into the room. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very helpful.
Huge car park, which doesn't have the best access to the Sherwood Suite.
If you park at the rear of the venue, the best access is from the goods inward access. That's excellent for the Sherwood Suite. Unload here, and move vehicle to main car park.
Not great. Likely to be corner of room, at rear wall. Space can be at a premium, and ceiling isn't very high.
Very very helpful and pleasant.
Huge car park. Its possible to park the van right by the doors, and move it afterwards.
Stairs are very wide, and not steep. They are straight, and lead directly into the function room, and its a short walk to the performance area.
An alcove facing a permanent dancefloor, but the alcove is full of the resident DJs rig. You have to set up on the dancefloor, and space is at a premium. There is a notice warning you not to touch the installed kit at all. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Perfectly reasonable.
Appalling. Car park with room for four small cars. Car park is not very near venue.
Appalling. A long walk through the beer garden, to the venue door. Then half a dozen turns along a corridor, before arriving at the stairs. Its all very very narrow.
Only good thing about this venue. Plenty of space at whichever end of the room youre asked to set up. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Not the most helpful.
Small car park, with direct access to function room.
Good. Short distance to function room, through two narrow doors.
Alcove in corner of room, only big enough for small/micro booth. There's an unfortunately placed light fitting which could be damaged by the overhead.
Absolutely lovely.
Very limited parking at the front, but its possible to park next to the beer garden gates at the rear.
A long walk, with steps in the beer garden. This leads to a short corridor, which brings you to the foot of the stairs. Two short flights to function room.
Corner of a very small room. Very little kit required, small rig preferable. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 2-3m
Absolutely excellent. Exceedingly helpful and pleasant.
Big car park, desired spots are near the front door and beer garden.
Passable. Either up three steps through porch and front doors and through bar to function room, or through beer garden, up the decking, and in through the fire exit to arrive at the setup area.
No designated area, but corner of room was used. Very cramped, small booths and rigs recommended.
Very pleasant and helpful.
Acceptable. Car park at rear of venue not huge, but very tidy.
Not bad. Option of going in through side doors with ramp and through the full length of the function room, or beer garden at rear which brings you in at the performance area via steps. Dependant on parked vehicles, beer garden may be easier.
Six inch high stage, big enough for a standard rig.
Absolutely excellent, friendly and helpful.
Tricky. Venue has its own tiny car park, which can be used by shoppers. You're quite likely to be blocked in, or block someone else. Best bet is to use car park to unload, and park elsewhere.
Good. Shallow ramp up to fire exit. Performance area is close to that.
Raised area in a bay window. Low headroom, mainly due to a beam. Set up in front of this, and you'll have lots of space behind.
Very helpful, very friendly.
Excellent, large car park
All flat, you can park next to the french doors leading directly into the ballroom
Small, very small at most functions. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 3-4m
Very good.
Very good, although it may be difficult to park close to fire exit.
Standard metal fire exit, pretty good, as they go. Straight into room and setup area.
Not ideal. Corner of room, near toilets. Limited space, and small dance area in front. Bar is at the other side of the wall, and sound in there is lower than where disco is.
Pleasant and efficient.
Big public car park, quite busy due to it serving a shopping centre. Usually possible to park in front of venue.
If youre working in the bar area, they open the french doors, which lead you directly to the performance area
One end of the room, next to french doors. Not a huge amount of space, but enough. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Good
Almost perfect. Private area, shared with caterer's vehicles, so you can get very close to the fire exit. From there, it's straight into the venue.
Very very good. Straight in through a marquee style door on the side of the building, through an immense fire door, and straight onto performance area. Unusually, staff are happy for you to set up while guests are in the room, as long as the caterers aren't serving food at the time.
The full width of the end wall. Acres of space, and the ceiling is about fifty feet high. Power sockets spaced out all round the room, so you're never too far from one.
Superb, especially the young lady Lori I dealt with.
Very good. Large tarmac car park, you can park near the access doors, very good.
Excellent. All flat and level, trolleys an advantage, but not essential. Just a slightly long walk down a corridor.
Again excellent. Corner of a good sized room, two power sockets immediately behind. Try not to obstruct access to store cupboard.
Very helpful and amenable. A pleasure to deal with.
Brilliant, if you know where to go. Access via the goods entrance, past the sign which says customers only. Courtyard all to yourself.
Very good. Four large steps up to fire exit, doors of which can be locked open. From there it's into the room, and a few paces to setup area.
Varies, but usually corner of room near fireplace. Plenty of space if the dance floor is set on the angle.
Absolutely splendid, very pleasant.
Not too bad. Either in front of the main doors, or by a side door in a narrow lane.
The side doors are closer to the stage, but the lane is narrow, and parking there can make it awkward for other traffic. Front doors don't have the same problem.
Very low stage, plenty of room and height.
Friendly and helpful.
For this room, right round the back, by the fire escape. Well lit car park. May have to move van after unloading, as this part of the car park seems to be shared with a building firm.
Absolutely excellent. Ten paces from the fire doors, and van can be parked right next to the. Car park is exceedingly well lit.
Small portable stage available, very stable and nice height, about fifteen inches, but carpet covering is a tad shabby. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
Excellent. Very helpful.
Best bet is Unity Car Park, and trolley gear into bar. It's a long way though.
Not great. Steps into bar make getting trolley in difficult.
Corner of room.
Splendid.
Good. Fair sized car park, its possible to get close to doors.
Good. All flat and level, reasonably short walk.
No specific area for disco. Typical smallish village hall room. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 3-4m
No issues
DONT PARK ON THE GRASS! Stay on the tarmac. Only really room for one van at a time to unload, and then park it in a designated area after.
All level, a thirty yard carry to the entrance over duckboards.. Trolley with big wheels essential. This brings you in through the kitchen., so you dont have punters in the way.
Fantastic. Well thought out. Enough space between marquee sides and dancefloor to get set up, plenty of headroom in the middle, and just enough at the sides. Whole end of marquee is available. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: 3-4m
Outstanding. Some of the nicest and most helpful Ive ever met. Very friendly and welcoming.
Very large car park
Pull into loading bay, up in the service lift and along a short corridor
Adequate space for a typical rig
Great staff
Excellent. Large car park.
All paved, long walk with slopes. Good trolley essential. Two pairs of doors into function room
End of room opposite bar, near piano. Plenty of room, but low ceiling, about 7ft. .
Very helpful and pleasant.
Large car park, use disabled bays to unload, then move vehicle.
Very good. Through two sets of doors, straight into function room. Suitable for trolleys if desired.
Good sized stage, some venue lights available as well.
Not met staff on this occasion.
Excellent. Huge tarmac car park, with parking near rear access door.
Very very good. Worst case scenario is a concrete path from car park to door, thirty yards away. If dry, you can reverse your vehicle across the grass right next to the door. Through this door, three steps up straight onto stage.
Excellent. Nice stage with ample headroom, area adjacent to stage can be used to store cases. Control of venue lights is adjacent to stage.
Very good. Smallish car park, you can park near access door to unload, and park afterwards.
Almost perfect. Park outside door, all doors can be locked open, and straight into setup area.
Excellent. Wall near entrance door, abundant power.
Absolutely excellent.
Small cramped car park leading to side doors. Often not possible to park near the doors, especially with a large van.
If you can get near the doors, its only a few steps to the stage.
Waist high stage. Plenty of room. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
No issues
Big car park, but can be crowded.
Very good. Park near gates leading to french doors, and straight into room. All flat, and paved.
Choice of setup areas, depending on layout of function. I used bay window near dancefloor. Very good.
Excellent, pleasant and helpful.
Not the biggest car park, at the rear of the site, but it's immaculate. Floodlit at night too.
Very good. Park next to the door ( only a standard house door though ) walk in, three steps up, and you're on the stage.
Huge stage, although you may be sharing it with furniture. Plenty of power sockets, huge starcloth backdrop. Access for guests to stage is poor.
Good sized tarmac car park, can be busy.
Not good. Electronic door with buzzer/intercom access. Can be propped open/fastened back, but it's a hindrance. Not too far from vehicle though. Function room upstairs with quarter turn.
Corner of room, fairly low ceiling.
Good sized car park.
Interesting. You have to be buzzed in, and the door is self locking, so best to prop it open with a case or bag. Narrow stairs up to function room.
Corner of a small room. No dedicated area.
No problems at all, very pleasant.
Big car park, but narrow where you unload, so care needed in parking, and while unloading.
Pretty Good. 19th Hole is the room on the left as you go in. Terrace is the room on the right. Four big steps into building, and after that it's level. You have to walk through the bar to get to the performance area.
Anywhere along the back wall. Loads of 13amp sockets there, Very good.
Very pleasant.
Small car park at rear of venue next to this room. Larger one at front.
If you can get in front of the doors for parked cars, its excellent.
Corner designated for disco, with plentiful power points. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Excellent, really nice and helpful.
Quite good, busy car park.
Depends. However you do it, steps are involved. Either half a dozen through the fire exit in side of building, or steel fire escape outside at end of building. Not the worst by any means, but less than ideal.
Corner of room, near power sockets.
Very good. Gravel courtyard for loading/unloading, and dedicated car park made with tarmac chippings nearby.
Excellent. Shallow ramp, through wide doors, straight into setup area.
Space near power sockets, fairly limited width, and not the highest headroom, although perfectly workable for most rigs.
Acres of space, especially near the fire escape which is where you get access.
Steel external fire escape, which is superbly lit at night. Quite steep, but once at the top you're straight into the room.
Good. Choice of anywhere along the back wall. Plentiful power. Ceiling not particularly high, but very workable.
Very helpful. Very pleasant.
Often congested, but a fair size. If you can get a space near the entrance, youre fine.
All flat, or easy ramps. No problem. Through double doors which can be fixed back, no problem. Its a decent distance, but not bad at all.
Small low stage, with two steps all round. Very good access for DJ and guests. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2m or less
Absolutely fine, very pleasant.
Excellent.
Good, and if you park round the back, you can use the fire exit.
An alcove, very narrow, headroom limited.
Very good
Interesting. Access is by a pedestrianised area, so no vehicles before 5.30pm Park on double yellows to unload in Spurriergate., then move your vehicle to a car park. There are plenty nearby, but theyre costly if you go in before 6pm., and stay there. After 6pm, its £2 all night.
Not good. Through a cobbled alleyway to the venue, and a choice of routes. I used the stairs from the fire exit, not too bad, but dimly lit when you leave.
Take as little kit as possible. Theres an in-house system which is awesome, just plug two XLRs into it, and youre ready to go. Very small, low stage, and a few lighting effects installed. All you really need is your playout, your stand, and perhaps a couple of lights. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Absolutely brilliant. Very very helpful.
The venue has ample parking, with multiple parks. However, parking your vehicle to unload is " interesting ". You have to bounce up onto the pavement ( no drop kerbs ) and park on it at the side of a very busy road.
Reasonable. Through an archway, and over a paved walkway, into the room. Tables and chairs make access to the stage tricky.
Centrally positioned alcove facing across the room. Foot high stage, with ample power points. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: over 4m
No issues
Not great. Narrow entrance, with poor visibility. Car Park is cramped, and not good for large vans. If you can park near the electric vehicle charging point, thats handy for unloading.
Poor. Long distance from car park over uneven paving and gravel. Good trolleys essential, preferably with pneumatic tyres.
Very reasonable. Large rigs not needed, One wall of the room available. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 3-4m
Very helpful indeed.
Be careful. The park is huge and sprawling, and has multiple venues, so checking where you are going beforehand is absolutely vital. Liaise with venue staff at all times, they are brilliant.
Atrocious. From where I parked, you go through three security gates, with a park employee at all times. There are no steps, and it is trolley friendly, albeit sloping fairly gently. It must be two hundred yards to the venue, so takes as little kit as possible, and a big trolley. If you run a Transit sized van, you can't get it any nearer, but you might just get small vehicles through. Might.
Not much better. The room is draped with black starlit cloths, and I was asked to set up under the lowest part, which I could touch easily. Do not take speakers, as you must use the sound ceiling, which works exactly as intended, loud on the dancefloor, and inaudible elsewhere. One 13amp socket on a cable was offered.
The staff were magnificent, best ever. Sadly the venue is a nightmare for DJs.
Large car park for the rest of the business, plenty of space.
Very, very good. Park next to the door to unload, and move vehicle when finished. You can leave it nearby, rather than use the guest car park, which is handy. You're straight into the barn, and it's easy. Only issue is the door has a sill which prevents trolleys, should you wish to use one.
Back wall of barn, space depends on what additional things are booked. Plenty of room for a band and disco.
Excellent, very helpful and pleasant.
