You can park at the side of the function room right outside the double door. This is located in a lane at the side of the venue. In the wet, the lane can get a bit muddy as it is not tarmac.

You can park outside the fire doors that will take you straight into the function room.

Access

Through the main fire doors, a few steps in and there are another set of double doors. There is normally a brick outside the main fire doors to hold these open while you load In but you may wish to take your own door stops for the next set of doors. It is less than a few metres walk and you are in the function room.

Facilities

There is a large wooden stage in the centre of the room about 12 foot across. There is a white drape across the back wall with some fairy lights on that you can use. If you do not want to set up on the stage then there is also a small DJ booth area in the corner with 2 double sockets within easy reach. If you set up on the stage then you will need extensions from these sockets. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: over 4m

Bar staff were ok during the evening, no issues. nAt finishing time, I was approached by the landlady who asked me how long it would take to leave. I told her about 30 mins. At this point, I was sworn at and told that I needed to be out I 15 minutes or I would have to leave my equipment there until tomorrow. I politely told her that this was not possible and I would be out as soon as possible. At this point, I was told that if I was not out in 15 minutes, then I would be locked in.

Few steps and your straight onto the set up area / dance floor. Very easy to load in and out.

There is no separate set up area. You set up onto the dance floor. Its a wooden floor with no stage. There are a lot of mirrors on the wall behind you. Plenty of plug sockets all along the length of the back wall which makes uplighting easy.

Staff are fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them.

You can drive up and around to the back of the room to park directly outside a double door that takes you straight onto the set up area. You couldn't get any closer if you wanted to!

Quite steep metal stairs leading to the function room. There is lighting on the stairs triggered by a movement sensor so you can see what you are doing in the dark. The stairs are quite steep though and can get very slippery in wet conditions. Take extra care! Once you are in the room, there is a side entrance to the stage. You have to walk up a few steps.

There is a temporary dance floor that is assembled in the function room. Due to the size of the dance floor, you are limited to where you can set up. If you set up facing the dance floor then you cannot see the rest of the room as you have to set up in an alcove which is almost out of sight to the rest of the room. This makes it awkward to see the crowd unless they are dancing. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m

Large car park. If you can park outside the fire door then access in is very straight forward. If you can't park by the fire door then it's still not that bad of a load in but the car park is on a gradient. A trolley would be ideal for loading in.

Very difficult to find the venue room if you have never been here before. This place is huge and like a maze. I picked up a member of the catering staff who came with me to find the room. You can park outside the fire door and this will take you straight inside the room onto a large stage.

Park outside a small fire door. It is a small, low door and you may need to duck your head to get in! Up a few steps and you are on the stage . No issues at all.

If you can park anywhere close then you would be very lucky. You can park for a very short while outside the entrance door but beware of traffic wardens at all times. If you speak nice to the staff then they may help you to load in and supply a trolley for you if you do not already have one. You will need to move the car to a nearby car park (pay & display) once you have unloaded.

There is a car park opposite that you can use once you have set up. This is a pay and display car park purely for this venue. The charge is £1 for 3 hours or £5 for all day. The staff gave me a ticket to put in the windscreen though so I didn't need to pay for one.

The function room is just a small walk from the entrance doors around the side of the building. Through another set of double doors and you are in. Quite an easy load in.

Function room: Big room and plenty of space available. No stage or separate dance floor area. There is a front bar area too. If you are setting up in here then please be aware that is a very small room with a low ceiling so a minimal set up would be preferred.

90% of the staff are fantastic. There are one or two younger staff members that are not very polite though, unfortunately.

Really small function room. This room is usually used for eating so tables will need to be moved before you have any room to set up. There are 2 parts to this room. The bar is up a few steps and will be behind you when you set up. An extension lead will have to be plugged in by the bar and brought down to the set up area.

There is a car park at the back of this venue. Although the function room is upstairs, you can park in the car park and walk straight into the function room from here without having to climb any stairs. It is a flat walk in straight into the function room. If you get there early enough, you will have plenty of room to park. During the evenings though the car park does fill up as there are not many spaces in there.

There is no set space for setting up as such. There is a window in the middle of the room and I usually set up in front of it. The electric plug sockets are on the ceiling which is weird but as long have you have an extension lead, you\'ll be fine. If you set up in any other part of the room, the sockets are on floor level, as you would normally expect. You can fit a standard 4 foot DJ booth here with no issues. The ceiling is quite low though so you may struggle with an overhead kit on your b

Drive through the car park and around the side as if you are going on to the pitch. You can park at the bottom of some steel external stairs and use the stairs to gain access into the function room. There is a lift the other side of the venue but I find parking by the stairs much easier and quicker. It does get very busy when there is a game on and you may not be able to park in the car park provided. Usually access to the stairs around the side is not blocked.

If you use the back stairs then you walk straight into the function room, few meters walk to the 'stage' area. No real issues but the stairs are steep and may be slippery when wet. There is an outside light for loading out when its dark. Ask the staff to put it on.

Small raised ( a few inches) stage in the back corner of the room. Sockets within easy reach. Plenty of height so no issues with overhead lighting etc.
